Well what a weekend of games and to my surprise teams competed to the end and make a point to the top teams. Although I went 1-5 in my picks including the all star game I was happy to see the competitive edge teams that were desperate made last week. We had the sharp shooters of Ebenezer out hustle the hustlers of Horeb blowing them out the gym; Bethany balled passed the crusaders of Corona by 16; the juggernauts of NJ plucked the feathers of the hawks of Fellowship by 14; and in the game of the week Bronx ran express and left the rejuvenators of New Life breathless winning by 9. What that tells me that come playoff time any team could get hot and make a run at the championship. We have two more weeks in the season and for some teams this is it make a run or see your hopes dwindle. We have 4 games scheduled this week and there are some serious divisional implications going on. We know the east is pretty much rapped up with the professors taking the top spot but for the west and second tier teams in the east it's wide open. With that said lets see what Milo thinks about this week games which could propel some teams up or drop some teams to the bottom of the pile. Lets go.
Sharon Shockers vs Horeb Hustlers
East meets west as the shockers of Sharon try and slow the hustlers down and drop them down in their division. Horeb is in a tight spot because they could win their division if they run the table and hope New Life loses their last game. You see Horeb beat New Life earlier in the season but lost to T&T who is also tied with them in the division. If Horeb wins and New Life and T&T lose then Horeb is the divisional champ. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Sharon must play loose, shoot well from the field, minimize the turnovers, and play solid defense. Horeb on the other hand must push the rock, play solid defense, shoot well from the line, and out rebound their opponent. Sharon will come to play but Horeb is the better team and for that reason they will blow out the shockers and send them on their merry way.
Triumphant Tabernacle Kings vs Rogers Avenue Warriors
Battle in the west as the defending champs T&T look to close out the season strong and show the new kids on the block what a championship team brings. T&T must be smiling after last week games because they didn't play but saw two of the top teams in their division lose and opened the door for them to claim the top spot. New Life beat them earlier in the season but lost to Horeb. T&T beat Horeb earlier so they must have one more win than New Life to take the crown. Horeb have a tough game next week against Bethany so T&T can seize the moment by winning out. What are the keys to victory for both teams. T&T must play their style and attack the rim, shoot well from the field, minimize the turnovers, and get bench contributions. Rogers Ave on the other hand must play with passion and push the rock, shoot well from everywhere, out rebound their opponent, and get bench contributions. Look for a close game the first half but by second half I expect to see T&T run away with the game and send the warriors of Rogers Ave packing. T&T wins blow out style.
River of Life Sustainers vs Community Worship Center Stars
East meets west as the sustainers of ROL look to block the stars of CWC from shinning. Both teams are bottom dwellers and both teams need a win in the worst way. ROL don't want the new kids in the league to have a better record than them in their first season in the league. What are the keys to victory for both teams? ROL must play solid defense, shoot well from the field, attack the rim, and minimize the turnovers. CWC on the other hand must out rebound their opponent, shoot well from the field, play solid defense, and minimize the turnovers. Look for a close game throughout but I feel the pride of the sustainers would be enough this week. ROL rolls by the stars beating them by 4.
White Plains Professors vs Bethany Ballers
Battle in the east as the undefeated White Plains Professors look to send a message and prove their worth against Bethany Ballers in Milo's "Game of the week". What a match up this would be two of the top dogs battling at the end of the season for supremacy. White Plains have two games remaining against Bethany and Bronx and if they win both games they claim the division. If Bronx loses both of their last games and Bethany wins their two then Bethany wins the division. However, if WP loses to Bethany but beats Bronx next week then WP will win the division but Bronx would drop to the third spot. That's why this game is so important for both teams. What are the keys to victory. WP must out rebound their opponent, shoot well from the field, minimize the turnovers, and play solid defense. Bethany on the other hand must push the rock, shoot well from the field and line, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. Look for a close game with lots of score changes but in the end I feel the professors have a message to send to the league that their dynasty is still alive and kicking. WP wins this match up by 6 points as they continue their perfect season.

Pray for those less fortunate than yourselves because in these times we need prayer and folks that truly love God. Pretending to be Christians wouldn't work with Christ because unlike us Christ can read the heart and knows the mind. God want us to be true examples of his standards and to uplift it at all times. If we don't stand up for Christ how do we expect him to stand up for us when he comes. Don't look to others for guidance look only to Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith.
