Wow what a mad dash to the finish line and just think the tournament didn't even start as yet. Last week I went 6 - 2 in my picks but more importantly, some teams chances to make it dropped drastically while others jumped up the pipe. We had the kings of T&T out last the Bronx express derailing them by 5; the rejuvenators of New Life defeated the volunteers of Spring Valley by 20; the sustainers of ROL defeated the crusaders of Corona by 20; the kingsmen of Kingsboro defeated the vipers of Mt Vernon by 4; the hustlers of Horeb defeated the sharp shooters by 2; the professor of WP schooled Cornerstone by 34; Fellowship tamed the tigers of Mt Sinai by 6; and the eliminators of Ephesus eliminated GNYC blow out style to round it out. This week we have 7 games scheduled and to the winners go the spoils. Who would shine this week and which team would prove their worth only time would tell, but let’s see what Milo thinks about this week’s games which would be elevation or eradication. Let's go.

Bronx Hawks Express vs New Life Rejuvenators:

Northeast meets west as the Bronx express tries to rebound from the tough loss at the hands of Triumphant Tabernacle and lost an opportunity to control 1st place in their division. New Life on the other hand defeated the volunteers and is hoping to make it into the dance. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Bronx must play their style and push the rock, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and play with passion. New Life on the other hand must shoot well from the field, out rebound their opponent, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. Look for a close game the first half but I expect to see Bronx run express and push the envelope winning this game by at least 6 points as they get ready for the next round.

River of Life Sustainers vs Mt Vernon Vipers:

Southwest meets northeast as the sustainers try and continue their winning ways against the vipers of Mt Vernon. ROL rolled past Corona last week and did so convincingly. They face the vipers who last week saw their season go up in flames. They lost a tough game last week but had their chances to shine. What are the keys to victory for both teams? ROL must push the rock, attack the paint, shoot well from the field, and minimize the turnovers. Mt Vernon on the other hand must play solid defense, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. Mt Vernon have nothing to lose this game so I expect to see them come out firing. However, the sustainers are playing for something and for that reason I'm picking them to win this match up by at least 8 points as they make a last dash to the dance.

Kingsboro Kingsmen vs Ebenezer Sharp Shooters:

East meets west as the sharp shooters try and move up in their division and drop the kingsmen out of 1st place. Both teams won last week and both teams have the same record. Kingsboro by winning last week and Cornerstone losing moved them to the top spot in their division. Ebenezer on the other hand must win this game to stay with the pack in the east. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Kingsboro must play solid defense, shoot well from the line, minimize the turnovers, and attack the rim. Ebenezer on the other hand must shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, play solid defense, and attack the interior of their opponents. Both teams want this game and both teams are desperate. Look for a close match but in the end I feel the kingsmen would have a little more in the tank and for that reason I'm picking them to win this match up by at least 4 points as they hold on to the top spot.

Horeb Hustlers vs Queensboro Prophets:

West meets southwest as the hustlers of Horeb try and salvage their season and rebound from a tough loss last week against the prophets of QB who is looking for blood. QB knows what is at stake if they lose this game and they drop, they win and they stay on firm ground. Horeb on the other hand is having a tough season and some of their losses were devastating. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Horeb must push the rock, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and attack the rim. QB on the other hand must come out the gate strong, shoot well from the line, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. Look for a close game because both teams are familiar with each other. But in the end I feel the prophets would have a clearer vision and for that reason I'm picking them to win this match up by at least 6 points as they stay on solid ground.

Spring Valley Volunteers vs GNYC Ebenezer:

Northeast meets west as the winless volunteers try and get one against winless GNYC in Milo's “Game of the Week ". Yes both teams are combined for 18 loses and no wins but after this week one team can brag that they got one and at the right time. You see impressions are as important as success and for one of these teams a win would give them encouragement going into the summer and preparing for next season. Both teams were blown out last week and to their credit their fans still support them as if they were in first place. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Spring Valley must play solid defense, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and play loose. GNYC on the other hand must push the rock, minimize the turnovers, shoot well from the field, and out rebound their opponent. Look for a close game because I can't see any one getting blown out. But in the end I feel GNYC would finally show their worth and win this game by 6 points as they head off into the summer with a smile.

White Plains Professors vs Bethany Ballers:

East meets northeast as the ballers of Bethany try and stop the professors of WP and drop them out of 1st. Well last week was a critical week for the defending champs, they knew if they won their game which they did against Cornerstone and Bronx lost against T&T they would have a game edge in the standing despite losing to the Bronx earlier in the season. Now they have one game remaining and a win would guarantee them the top spot with only one loss. Bethany on the other hand is in first place and need this game to keep the top spot. If they lose and either Ebenezer or Mt Sinai wins then they drop possibly to the third spot. What are the keys to victory for both teams? WP must play their style, get offensive rebound, shoot well from the field, and attack the rim. Bethany on the other hand must minimize the turnovers, shoot well from the field and line, get bench contributions and attack the paint. Look for a close game the first half but by second half I expect to see the professors school the ballers and show them how champions close out a season. WP wins this game by at least 10 points as they tune up for another deep run.

Christian Fellowship Hawks vs Ephesus Eliminators:

Southwest meets northeast as the hawks of Fellowship try and eliminate the eliminators and stay in second spot in their division. Both teams won last week and both teams did it with style. Now they face each other and to the winner goes the spoils. Fellowship needs a win to keep up with T&T if not they could fall to third just as quick. Ephesus on the other hand is in 3rd place and needs to win this game to get a high seed. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Fellowship must play solid defense, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and attack the paint. Ephesus on the other hand must shoot well from the line, out rebound their opponent, get bench contributions, and play solid defense. Look for a close game throughout but in the end I feel Ephesus would be too much inside and for that reason I'm picking them to win this game by 4 points.

Mt Sinai Tigers vs Triumphant Tabernacle Kings:

East meets southwest as the tigers of Mt Sinai try and conqueror the kings and keep them from having the top spot in the playoffs. The tigers lost last week to Fellowship and now they have to face the kings. Remember I warned you folks that this team was for real, well fast forward today and they are tied for the best record in the league only the defending champs could match them this year. The tiger know what to expect just like most teams that face the kings. The kings would send their troops hunting for trophies and they want the head of the tigers. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Mt Sinai must play solid defense, shoot extremely well from the field, get bench contributions, and pray the kings get stuck in traffic. T&T on the other hand must play their style and attack the rim, shoot well from the line, play solid defense, and minimize the turnovers. I expect to see a close game the first half but folks the kings are just that good and I know they would respond. The kings win this game blow out style as they prove Milo right once again.
