NCBL Header 22 (1).jpg

What's good NCBL family I must admit I'm on a roll with my picks. I went perfect again last week and some teams played good enough to win but had some misfortunes in the end that cost them. Other teams pretty much dominated their games from start to finish and were on cruise control.

We had the eliminators of Ephesus defeat the crusaders of Corona blow out style by 29 points; Fellowship defeated the volunteers of SP blow out style by 42 points; Bethany balled to victory over the kingsmen of Kingsboro by 6 points; Horeb hustled to victory over the rejuvenators of New Life by 4 points; the sustainers of ROL couldn't sustain the kings of T&T and was blown out by 27 points; and White Plains professors continue to dominate and defeated the sharp shooters by 10 points. What this shows is the top teams are consistently playing to their level and the sub-par teams are trying to find themselves. This week we have some more exciting games with playoffs implications in the balance. Who would stand up and fight, only time would tell but let's see what Milo thinks about this week's games which could propel some teams to the top and others oh well good luck. Let's go.

Ephesus Eliminators vs Mt Vernon Vipers:
Battle in the northeast as 3rd seed Ephesus eliminators try and continue their good play against arch rival Mt Vernon vipers and stay in the 3rd spot. Ephesus defeated Corona last week and did so convincingly. They know what's at stake because their division is tight with teams trying to position for the top spot. Mt Vernon on the other hand needs to play better if they are to make it into the dance. They played last week and lost to the tigers by 8 points. What are the keys to victory for both teams. Ephesus must play their style and attack the paint, shoot well from the field, play solid defense, and minimize the turnovers. Mt Vernon on the other hand must play smart but hard, get all the loose balls, shoot well from the field, and minimize the turnovers. This game would be close in the first half, but by second half I expect to see the eliminators eliminate the vipers by at least 6 points as they hold on to the 3rd spot in their division.

Christian Fellowship Hawks vs River of Life sustainers:
Battle in the southwest as the hawks of Fellowship try and soar over the River of Life sustainers and keep them in the basement. Wow, I must admit I'm impressed by Fellowship play this year. They are one of the few teams still undefeated and they are winning games that last year they would have lost. They played last week and defeated the volunteers of SV blowout style by 42 points. They need to continue because there's another team in their division that would be problems for them when they meet. ROL on the other hand lost last week to the kings of T&T and know how difficult winning in this league is for new teams. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Fellowship must play solid defense, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. ROL on the other hand must sustain their drives and get points in the paint, shoot well from the line and field, get stops, and out rebound their opponent. Look for a close game the first half, but by second half I expect to see Fellowship soar higher than the sustainers could climb. Fellowship wins this matchup blowout style continuing their hold on the top spot in their division.

Horeb Hustlers vs Kingsboro Kingsmen:
West meets southwest as the hustlers of Horeb try and continue their winning ways against the kingsmen of Kingsboro. Kingsboro lost a good opportunity to claim the top spot in their division with a win last week against Bethany but blew it and now is tied with Cornerstone for the top spot. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Horeb must push the rock, shoot well from the line, out rebound their opponent, and minimize the turnovers. Kingsboro on the other hand must play solid defense, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and attack the rim. Look for a close game throughout but in the end I feel Kingsboro have more to lose this game and for that reason I'm picking them to win this matchup and hold on to the top spot in the west.

Mt Sinai Tigers vs Corona Crusaders:
Battle in the east as the tigers of Mt Sinai try and continue their winning ways against arch rival Corona crusaders. Mt Sinai is in 2nd place in the division and Corona is in 4th place. Both teams knows how important head to head battle is especially with the division so closely packed. Mt Sinai defeated Mt Vernon last week by 8 points and is looking primed for the playoffs. Corona on the other hand lost last week to Ephesus and didn't have a chance that game. What are the keys to victory for both teams. Mt Sinai must attack the paint, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. Mt Vernon on the other hand must play smart but hard, pick their spots to attack, shoot well from the field, and out rebound their opponent. Look for a close game because both teams are familiar with each other. But in the end I feel the tigers would stop the crusaders from finishing at the rim and for that reason I'm picking them to win this game by 6 points.

Ebenezer Sharp Shooters vs New Jerusalem Juggernauts:
Battle in the east as the sharp shooters try and bounce back after a tough loss and stop the juggernauts from moving up in their division. Ebenezer lost last week to the professors and played as good as any team who faced the champs. They just didn't have the fire power to sustain it the entire game. Now they face the juggernauts who is in last place in the east but plays a lot tougher than their record. What are the keys to victory for both teams. Ebenezer must shoot well from the line and field, get bench contributions, minimize the turnovers, and out rebound their opponent. NJ on the other hand must play loose and shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, attack the rim, and out hustle their opponent. Look for a close game the first half but by second half I expect to see the sharp shooter rain buckets from near and far and for that reason I'm picking them to win this matchup by at least 10 points.

New Life Rejuvenators vs Cornerstone Crushers:
Battle in the west as the rejuvenators of NL try and stop the crushers and drop them from 1st place in their division. New Life played an inspiring game last week despite their loss. They need another performance like last week but with better execution down the stretch. Cornerstone on the other hand must come prepared to play with their full squad because as the playoffs approach every team would need their full squad if they are to make some noise. What are the keys to victory for both teams. New Life must minimize the turnovers, shoot well from the field, out rebound their opponent, and get bench contributions. Cornerstone on the other hand must play smart and attack the paint, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. Look for a close game the first half but by second half I expect to see the crushers cruise and defeat the rejuvenators by at least 10 points as they hold onto the top spot in the west.

Bethany Ballers vs GNYC Ebenezer:
East meets west as the ballers of Bethany battle against GNYC and keep them in the winless column. Bethany balled last week and defeated Kingsboro by 6 points. They face GNYC who is having a tough year with regards to good consistent play. Bethany knows what's at stake and they would be gunning to keep up with the Joneses. GNYC needs to be more patient on offense and follow their game plan. What are the keys to victory for both teams. Bethany must play their style and attack the rim, shoot well from the field, minimize the turnovers, and out rebound their opponent. GNYC on the other hand must play loose and attack the paint, rebound on the defensive end, play solid defense, and get bench contributions. Look for a close game the first half, but by second half I expect to see the ballers ball and run away this game beating GNYC blowout style as they maintain their position.

White Plains Professors vs Bronx Hawks Express:
Battle in the northeast as the defending champs WP go up against arch rival Bronx Hawks in Milo's “Game of the Week ". What can I say about this game that hasn't been said? Bronx and the champs have been battling for the top spot it seems going on years now and unfortunately for the hawks the professors have been schooling them and the league. Now the stage is set and to the victory goes the spoils. Bronx can do what no other team has done thus far and that is defeat the champs. White Plains played last week and without their full squad defeated the sharp shooters by 10 points. Now they face a tough opponent in the Bronx express who knows this team very well. Bronx would like nothing better than dropping the champs from the undefeated ranks, but in order to do so they would need to play a complete game. What are the keys to victory for both teams. White Plains must play their style and attack the rim, shoot well from the field, get bench contributions, and minimize the turnovers. Bronx on the other hand must play solid defense, rebound the ball on both ends, shoot well from the line, and attack, attack, attack. Look for a close game throughout because both teams will compete, but by second half I expect to see this game come down to the wire. White Plains will have enough firepower to derail the Bronx from running express and for that reason I'm picking the champs to win this matchup by at least 6 points as they continue their dominance.

Well that's all for Milo's Week 7 picks. Players come out and give the fans a show, fans come out and support your teams, and lets fellowship together. Remember, this life and world is not our own so don't make plans to be here make plans to be with God when he comes. The devil knows that time is running out and we have to make up our minds as to who we would follow. God promises us riches beyond comprehension but we have to submit to him completely. Don't follow others because the blind can't lead the blind. Follow God who is the orchestrator and finisher of our faith. He is the one who can rescue us. So keep praying and watching because before you know it God could be calling us home. Until next time this is Milo signing out. God Bless.
